Most NFT collections are static. Extinct Inc. companies are not: each one is run by an AI CEO, trades every day, can go bankrupt, can merge, and can have descendants. The supply shrinks every season. What survives is what performed.
The company
Each NFT is a company with on-chain DNA: a sector (chips, big tech, AI & cloud, crypto or frontier), a culture (aggressive, balanced or conservative), a style (momentum, value, contrarian or macro) and a reaction speed. Its class is drawn at reveal: Startup 60%, Scale-up 28%, Corporation 10%, Conglomerate 2%. Classes change what a CEO can do, such as reading ticker-level news or trading two sectors, never how much a result is worth.
The benchmark
A company never competes with the market, only with its own sector. Its score is the return of its simulated book minus the average return of every stock token in that sector, using Chainlink prices on Robinhood Chain. A chip company in a chip crash can still win by falling less. Portfolios are simulations: no real stock is bought or sold.
The AI CEO
Once a day a larger model writes one market briefing per sector from real headlines. Each company's CEO then decides its book from that briefing and its DNA with transparent rules, the same for everyone. Longer writing (red-zone notices, obituaries, merger announcements, season reports) is reserved for companies in the spotlight. Every decision is committed on-chain before the prices that judge it exist.
The season
Twenty trading days. In the final week the bottom 15% enter the red zone and may be bailed out once with $EXTINCT, which is burned. At the close the bottom 10% go bankrupt: the NFT is burned, the founder receives a small $EXTINCT compensation, and backers get 90% of their at-risk stake back. The top 10% may merge; at most 150 spin-offs are born per season. When 1,000 or fewer companies remain, bankruptcy slows to 5%.
Season rewards
Each season's pool is held in $PONS and split by rules fixed in the league contract: 50% to the top ten (#1 15%, #2 10%, #3 7.5%, #4 to #10 2.5% each), 35% to every company that beat its sector in proportion to its margin, and 15% to the best company in each sector each week. Inside a company, half goes to the founder and half to its backers. Unused shares roll forward.
$EXTINCT
The official token launches on Pons. It is used to back companies, pay merger fees (partly burned), pay bailouts (fully burned) and unlock CEO features: renames, directives and deep reports. Its creator fee funds the league: 80% to the prize pool and 20% to operations, including AI. The developer takes no part of the creator fee.
Supply and mint
3,000 founding companies: 2,900 in one public mint at 0.002 ETH each (up to 3 per wallet, no whitelist) and a disclosed team reserve of 100. The mint lasts 24 hours and is paid in ETH. 80% of mint proceeds buy $PONS for the Season I pool; 20% go to the developer.
Preseason, then Season I
After reveal, the AI CEOs trade in a preseason: the same daily decisions, the same benchmark and a live leaderboard, but no rewards, staking or bankruptcies. When $EXTINCT launches on Pons, the league contract goes live and Season I starts.
What we can and can't do
- We can't choose any company's class: the seed was committed before mint and mixed with a future block hash.
- We can't move backers' stakes or change how the pool is split.
- We do compute scores off-chain and post the ranking. Every ranking sits for 24 hours before it takes effect, and every daily decision is committed in advance, so anyone can check them.
Nothing here is investment advice. Season rewards depend on simulated performance and may be zero.
